Bigger than you think - I'm a college instructor and soon to be student again here in the Fall between teaching and working on my thesis, I can carry my computer and all my research. At first you wonder if you can fit enough in there but believe it or not, a computer 2-3 text books, folders and notebooks work just fine. Really love it and how compact it is. My roommate has the XL messenger and I couldn't handle how it was twice the size of my body, this is perfect if you don't want to feel like the bag is swallowing you.
bag-1013846 style was the right size. bag-1013846 style easily fit my camera, passport, boarding passes and the side compartments were handy for tickets to museums, etc. bag-1013846 style was also easy to take to dinner without looking like a travel bag.
