Exactly what I wanted - I have owned a Timbuk2 classic messenger for two years. This bag incorporates everything I wish I could have changed about that bag. The organization makes it a much better option for taking to work and traveling by plane... easy to access my laptop (MBP 15" fits with room to spare in the padded zip compartment), good-sized pockets for power adapter and external drive, and an open pocket on the back for the stuff I inevitably forget to put in before I latch the still roomy main compartment shut. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be, and I miss the extra stability strap for when I'm wearing it on my bike. If you haven't owned a Timbuk2 bag with the ballistic fabric, know that it holds up extraordinarily well even with heavy use (why would I pay $200 for this unless I knew it would last as long as I would need?). My messenger bag still looks brand new after I clean off the mud with a wet rag.
messenger-1013895 style was the right size. messenger-1013895 style easily fit my camera, passport, boarding passes and the side compartments were handy for tickets to museums, etc. messenger-1013895 style was also easy to take to dinner without looking like a travel bag.
