Designed for toting a laptop. The tote is beautiful, but heavier than I expected when it's empty, and therefore heavy when it's packed with essentials. I don't have a laptop. The few times I have used the bay in the past 2 weeks, I've had many compliments. The bag seems very well made. I will look at other Lodis designs in the future because I don't like a lot of metal and hardware on the outside of my purses and totes.
messenger-1013787 style was the right size. messenger-1013787 style easily fit my camera, passport, boarding passes and the side compartments were handy for tickets to museums, etc. messenger-1013787 style was also easy to take to dinner without looking like a travel bag.
